First day of HVCC and accident closing the bridge already, this is just the usual for the folks in this area and it doesn't get any better. The area is too congested and they want to increase the activity by expanding the truck traffic, there is a limit to everything and this bridge, infastructure, and surrounding community has reach more than maximum capacity. Why do they ignore that fact and press on? Who can take responsibility for people's safety? How many more accidents? Is the state going to assume responsibility for injuries from accidents due to their neglect of a serious situation or will it be Troy?? No one follows rules not even State or City Officials with specs designed for population and density regarding traffic and road/bridge structure. Speeding is not the only concern, we have people running red lights everywhere in this area including even coming down the hill of Morrison Ave maybe someone will smash thru the new concrete walls being installed...who knows what is to come. Another eye sore is the 378 route entirely. It has also been neglected and the people around that area pay high enough taxes their road shouldn't be like continual speed bumps (patches) instead must we tell you it needs repavement, it's been years.

HVCC needs to share some blame here. Not enough parking? Pave over the lawn and build a garage. Now more cars can park... of course they have to get there in the first place...

Pete Gordan is always there doing his job. He gets 20-25 tickets a day from that spot. The lighted sign is a good idea. Wouldn't that fall in the jurisdiction of watervliet?

You're absolutely right! The variation in speeds that motorists drive on 378 doesn't help this situation either! Some drivers creep along at 35-40 mph, while others fly down the hill at 75-80 mph!! Then, these faster drivers slam into the slower drivers when they get to the bridge headed to HVCC at this horrendous intersection!

"30 MPH SPEED LIMIT AHEAD" signs should be installed, warning drivers coming down the hill that they need to slow down when approaching the bridge.

They should also install electronic message signs which say: "CAUTION: STOPPED TRAFFIC AHEAD".

Still nothing done about this. 9/18/12.

THERE IS A SIGN BEFORE THE BRIDGE ON THE BRIDGE AND WHEN YOU GET OVER THE BRIDGE WHAT IS NEEDED IS THAT POLICE OFFICER BACK THAT USED TO SIT THERE RIGHT AFTER THE BRIDGE THE REVENUE THAT TROY WOULD MAKE ON THESE DRIVERS MIGHT LOWER OUR NEW TAX HIKE
