Agreed. The approach to the intersection with Linnaean is not great for bikes, especially as cars form two queues, one to go straight on Garden and the other to go right on Linnaean.

Agree hide few spots of parking should be removed to fix this dangerous section.

Useless signage, and much too late. Bikes must use the full lane. Sharrows please and much earlier on the road.

Thank you for contacting the Cambridge Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department. We have submitted work orders to clarify the regulations in this area by changing the no parking signs to no stopping signs. Through the community process, we found that removing parking here was not an option in the short-term and are actively exploring what additional improvements can be made in this vicinity. Shared lane markings were not installed because they would be too permanent for this arrangement. We heard from the community as well as the Cambridge Bicycle Committee that having a bike lane now, even if non-continuous through this segment, was a much better option than no action.

Removing parking should be an option. The Harvard Radcliff Quad does not need street parking on this highly traveled (bike and car) route.
