My brand new Subaru Impreza was struck by a hit and run driver in October 2016 just a month after I purchased it, with $10,000 in damage. All of the accidents have occurred with drivers running the stop sign on Cold Spring Street. Apart from the need to slow the traffic down, the city should consider cameras at the intersection, since most of these hit & run drivers are criminals who need to be caught. Even just posting a temporary traffic cop for a couple days at the intersection to monitor the offenders would generate more revenue for in the city than all of the meter readers combined. I've observed scores of cars running the stop sign with impunity every day I venture outside. It's about time the city started paying some attention to our complaints, in lieu of the danger to schoolchildren, dogwalkers and pedestrians, especially in light of the enormous property tax imposed on us homeowners in the neighborhood. The city's lack of attention to the situation is appalling. Raymond Smith
