DPW, please DO NOT CLOSE THIS ISSUE! Many, many people in the neighborhood have reported these festering, ever-growing, vermin-attracting piles of garbage blocking the sidewalks on a major thoroughfare, but you keep closing their issue reports, claiming that there's a still-open issue that already covers them.

PLEASE ACTUALLY ADDRESS THE GARBAGE ISSUE AND DON'T JUST CLOSE THIS REPORT. This is now at the risk of becoming a public health hazard, especially as the weather heats up.

Dept of Public Works: You may not see them out on the sidewalks, but this is a real neighborhood where real people -- very nice, working, tax-paying, and responsible citizens--- live. They cannot walk on the sidewalks of their own neighborhood because your Dept is not doing its job. If the homeless people assault your workers, then send in OPD : problem solved. There are mountains of rubble and debris all over the entire sidewalk for two blocks, both sides, under the freeway there. You would never tolerate that where you are living, so why isn't anyone at the City doing anything when this entire neighborhood is distressed and turning to you for help?
