The ball field lights around fields 3 and 4 (either side of Little League clubhouse) have been on every night for the past several nights, lighting up empty fields for several hours. These lights consume -- and in this case, waste -- massive amounts of electricity, costing the city precious dollars it doesn't have. Why?
I tried to call the Public Works Dept last night, and was unable to reach a voicemail box to leave a message -- the phone system is as dysfunctional as the entire department is.
