I would suggest the point that it might be best that ANY turn from Huron onto Larchwood at the stated hours be prohibited; not only right turns, but also left turns.

We have directed our sign crews to revise the signage to restrict cut-through traffic during the evening peak period. Thank you.

What about the other end of Larchwood Drive. From 4-7PM, that left turn off the Parkway is used to cut through the neighborhood and avoid a jam on the Parkway.

Unfortunately we are unable to make changes on Fresh Pond Parkway as that is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Please contact them directly at (508) 820-1428.

Please note a related concern is for turning off of Brattle Street onto Larchwood, using Fresh Pond Lane to Larchwood Dr. as a high speed commuter cut through during the evening drive hours 4-7. This endangers the community. Attached is a picture showing the backup of cars on Larchwood, attempting to turn left in traffic onto Huron.

By prohibiting turns onto Larchwood for non-residents during the evening hours we could dramatically increase safety for the many children and pedestrians.

Should this be established as a separate thread?

Please submit a separate request for any additional locations. Do note however that we cannot legally establish restrictions based on "residents only." We have to be careful in establishing new restrictions that we continue to allow access to the neighborhood for all residents.
