Across from McQueeney"

Again, I am writing about across from McQueeney. I just confirmed today in speaking with our neighbor (that neighbor that fell) that the uneven sidewalk that tripped him up was across from the entrance to McQueeney between Audubon and Grove. Yesterday as I was passing by there and my attention was caught by 8 police cars, I was nearly taken down by the uneven walk pictured above. The tree breaking up this walk is within AT&T's parking lot.

The street tree in front of 415 Orange St is breaking up the sidewalk. Keep the tree, fix the walk, please. The other area across from McQueeney is unchanged.

How big a crack is allowable before you worry about being sued? How about having the meter maids and beat cops make not of hazards on their rounds. No, I am not closing this and I will tell whomever cares that the issue was on the books for quite awhile.

It's hard to see the cracks for the snow.

Now one is responding to this, but I am because you keep sending me notices. Just because no onein the city responds is no reason to takes it off the books.

Today, there are other cracked and uneven sidewalk issues being reported at 398 Audubon Court and at 111 Grove Street. Add those to the issues brought up here on Orange Street between Grove and Trumbull. All around us concrete pavement was ground down because of uneven walks, but not in these areas I just mentioned. Is there a reason for that? How many people have to fall and injure themselves before someone in a decision making roll finds it prudent to fix these areas? If that is not possible who does this kind of work? How can they be reached?

This issue has been viewed 202 times and never acknowledged by the City of New Haven and/or the Department of Public Works. Let's close it and let someone else find it.
