Albany, NY assigned this issue to APA - Doug

Some action on this issue would be great. We know you can't be everywhere but when a problem is reported this often- something proactive needs to be done.

Nothing proactive ever seems to be done in Albany. Always reactive. Always someone else’s job.

There are two hot spots in town for minting money for the city via parking violations. This intersection (9W + Madison)and Central Avenue (Between Lake + Quail). Yet, I never see any parking enforcement at either location.

Thank you for using this application to report an issue to the Albany Parking Authority. A parking enforcement officer will be sent to review this situation. If a parking violation is found, a ticket will be issued. The parking enforcement officer must be there to witness the infraction. If the vehicle has been moved by the time the parking enforcement officer arrives, they will be unable to issue a ticket.

In front of 400 Central is another.

The New Scotland corridor by AMC constantly has cars parked illegally making the turn from Holland onto NS in front of Starbucks dangerous. You'd think that because these cars might interfere with ambulances that it'd get some traction, but you'd be wrong

I feel like parking enforcement has gotten so lax, why is this?

Yet if you’re 2 minutes late to the meter you get ticketed..

From my experience, it seems like APA avoids human confrontation.
