Unfortunately, some residents do drive through their own neighborhoods in an inattentive or careless manner. When residents speed in their own neighborhood, the best approach to solving this is a combination of enforcement and peer pressure. Dead end neighborhoods do not qualify for the Traffic Calming program, and speed humps are no longer installed on public streets. When residents speed in their own neighborhood, the best approach to solving this is a combination of enforcement and peer pressure. It is ultimately the neighborhood’s responsibility to help solve internal problems with speeding. We encourage you to relay your concerns to your neighbors regarding there speed in the neighborhood. You can also contact your local police precinct and request an officer come out for speed limit enforcement.

all the way to the far end of the circle. Why can't we have a 25 mph sign at least put up.In
some cities, the subdivisions have mph signs in the center of the streets so everyone has
to see them. AND they are ticketed also. As your dept has told me, speed bumps and/or
speed humps would not work. WHAT WOULD WORK ????
We had our home built over 40 yrs ago and the builders, Randall Phillips assured us that
this would never be a through street. So much for that. Now it is trashy and dangerous
to walk or drive along.

Speed humps are no longer installed on public streets. A speed trailer was placed on Cathy Jo Drive, 1/20/12. The speed trailer does not record data, and is not a permanant solution. Please contact your local police precinct and request an officer come out for speed limit enforcement.
