Staff are working to resolve this issue. The City is enforcing the Anti-Blight Ordinance at this site. We hope to clean-up this site shortly.

The site needs to be made secure and locked as soon as possible. It is no longer safe to the public and has not been for some time. This location is no longer an issue of blight and is now one of public healthy and safety. There is a significant volume of human waste on site. This is in addition to the tremendous volume of garbage, broken glass, and industrial waste that continues to accumulate. Many community members have reported seeing individuals using IV drugs, getting drunk, and having sex in the abandoned cars on the premises. This is evidenced by the significant number of needles, alcohol bottles, and used condoms littered in and around this location. In addition, the small mountain of tires accumulating in plain sight is a tremendous fire hazard for the neighborhood and the area at large. These tires are now spilling over into the surrounding properties and the park.

This lot is adjacent (across the street) from Jocelyn Square Park. The children in this community are made less safe by being exposed to the garbage, drug use, and illegal activity taking place at this location. Please have someone come and remove the bags of human waste piled on this site as soon as possible. Please prioritize having this location made secure before someone from our community is hurt.
