This is what we have been told for over five years now.

Its been two weeks now and still have not heard or have been contacted by the city of salibury about this issue.

Update by City of Salisbury Communications on 11/10/11: Thank you again for your comments. Public Service workers who are currently not on leaf and limb duty, are working on emergency storm drain repairs and sidewalk repairs. Once these projects have been completed, Public Services plans to begin this project to assist with water run-off (as previously noted below). *Please be advised that any time emergency repairs are necessary throughout the City of Salisbury, Public Service workers must respond to those needs as first priority to ensure that the repairs take place immediately. Help City of Salisbury Communications Update: A contractor, representing the City of Salisbury Street Department, conducted a “locate” along the 200 block of E. 14th Street during the week of November 21, 2011. Underground lines and wires were located and marked so that necessary digging can take place. City of Salisbury Code Enforcement Officers are in the process of notifying property owners that work is scheduled to begin. The City of Salisbury Street Department was onsite Monday (11/28/11) and busy working to remove trees. Once all trees have been removed, Street Department staff will begin work to improve the drainage situation. Thanks WBTV without your help this would have never been fixed.

This issues is fixed for the most part. Only after posting photos within an hour the city was out cleaning up the ditch and clearing out brush. The lines below the street still need to be cleaned but at the time the equipment used to do this is out of order. The best part is for the first time in decades we no longer have waterfront property when it rains. Thanks only to WBTV this issue was taken care of.
