Thanks for using SeeClickFix! Please give a more detailed location for this issue. End streets or name of street or # block fronting the alley location. Thank you again for reporting!
Thank you for providing more information about the exact location. While our staff can (and does) go look for the reported illegal dumping and pick up other items in the area, we like to make sure that we don't pick up illegal dumping in the area near where you reported and close your report, only to find out we picked up the wrong stuff or didn't pick up what you had originally reported.
There is a second burgundy couch at the 00 hundred block of Ohio. ( between Mare Island Way and Trinity, on Ohio).
It's the only burgundy couch in the middle of the road. Nextdoor has a report that the alley couch was moved by two homeless people and a shopping cart less than an hour ago. I'll go check.
As of 3:12 pm today, the "sofa" has been removed by homeless people from National Alley, between Trinity and Butte, however the "etc" pad is still there. Additionally, a similar burgundy couch is still on Ohio, between Trinity and Mare Island Way. Also, there is a (recurring) dump of clothes on Trinity, between Ohio and Harbor Way (where other dumping was cleaned up yesterday).
Finally, there remains the long standing homeless camp litter which is not on the street ( and hence may not be the city's role to clean up) at the end of Ohio St, nearest Mare Island Way, down from Trinity.
Thank you for reporting! Public Works has one full-time Maintenance worker whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. This person usually makes 2 or more trips to the dump everyday, with each load weighing in around 1,200 pounds. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.
