Descripción
There is debris piling up at the West River footbridge. It is causing the water level to rise over two feet after rain, washing out the trail upstream, rerouting water flow, which is causing erosion, and threatening to compromise one of the bridge abutments because of undermining. See attached photos. An excavator with an extension arm and a claw could probably access the dam that has accumulated along the bridge and remove the debris.
This bridge is highly used by strollers, joggers and dog-walkers to access the trail. I would hate to see it closed because of ongoing damage.
