Please read the email chain below as this creates an extreme safety issue. Per the Dist C, CNL Director of Constituent Services, the City had nothing to do with this obstruction to the entrance to the entrance our parking garage that creates a dangerously safety hazard. Please advise.

Subject: 300 St Joseph Pkwy, Houston, TX
Greetings Ms. Retta,
The residents at the mentioned subject condominium building have noticed that the COH recently put a curb entering the garage through the Bagby St entrance (at St Joseph Pkwy) into the building’s parking garage. However, every resident entering has been complaining of the turning radius in to the garage. We all have been tearing up our tires / vehicles due to the turning radius. The curb has been placed blocking practically ½ of our entrance (please see attached photos). As, you can see on 1st photo, all the marks of our vehicles hitting this curb.
Due to the extensive traffic flow during peak times, it is very difficult to get closer to the 2nd lane in order to turn into the garage entrance, to avoid hitting the curb. In addition, we have to slow down tremendously in order to position our vehicles to enter the garage without hitting the curb, and are in fear of getting rear ended. Traffic during peak times is horrible. Vehicles come at a high rate of speed. This curb that the COH, Sidewalks, is causing a huge safety issue.
I have lived at this building for 4 ½ years and there has never been a curb placed there blocking the entrance. I cannot understand how it was placed without proper engineering / measuring / surveyed for the turning radius. And, not notifying building management of the placement of this safety issue curb. Therefore, we would like would like to request this curb be removed so that it will not blocking our entrance into our garage and cause any accident please. We would greatly appreciate your assistance on this safety issue/matter.
Kind Regards,
Martha Cumpian
